
This will show you how to uninstall and remove the Dell Backup and Recovery Manager. It will show you how to disable it from the task tray. Simply uninstalling the program will not remove it from the task tray. This is a bug with Dell’s software.
Dell Backup and Recovery Manager
Step 1
Right click and exit the Dell Backup and Recovery Manager in the task tray.
Step 2
Open Windows Explorer and browse to: C:\dell. Delete the DBRM folder and the DBRM.ini file.
Step 3
Open the registry editor and delete the DBRMTray key from here:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
Step 4
Restart your computer and it will now be gone from the task tray.
